On 16th June 1982, the Rolling Stones performed a concert at the Stade de Gerland in Lyon, in front of 50,000 people.
That evening, the supporting act for the first part of the concert was a group from Lyon, Les Redoubtables, led by a certain Jean-Michel Borne.
Today, Jean-Michel continues playing, recording and performing. At the end of 2025, I had the great pleasure of meeting Jean-Michel and sharing his musical journey from his very first notes on the guitar to his inexhaustible love for music today.
A new café-casse-croûte, Les Garnements, arrived in Châtillon d’Azergues on 28th March to provide a breath of fresh air to the community spirit of the village.
Radio Beaujolais International visited Les Garnements on 9th April to meet the owner, Gildas Pasquet, and find out more about the venture.
A welcome interview with Anissa Zekkouti, international coach in holistic health and nutrition, yoga teacher, and a contributor to magazines focusing on nutrition, health and well-being.
We are delighted that Anissa has just joined the team at Radio Beaujolais International as a presenter. She will be on air every day, broadcasting in both French and English.
In February we had the pleasure of inviting a singer who grew up in Guérins, in the department of l’Ain. His talent has already been recognised in several competitions, and he has just released his first EP, entitled 'Libre'.
In this interview we invite you to discover STAINE.
Sometimes, it is important to take a break and reflect on the difficulties we face in life… even when these difficulties relate to sensitive topics, too often considered taboo and censored in our interactions with others. In this moving interview with comedian and actor Terry Cometti, we learn how he is confronting the nightmares of his childhood.
On 11th February, we were delighted to welcome Jocelyne Sambardier and Patrick Cleyet-Merrel to the studio to present their recently-founded association, Art et Artisanat, which organises exhibitions to promote the work of artists active in a wide range of artistic forms and disciplines.
In January, I had the great pleasure of meeting the author Anne-Sophie Cordier. Resident in the Radio Beaujolais International region, Anne-Sophie has recently published her latest novel, Montée de Lange, and in this interview she provides us with a fascinating insight into her world of literature.
On 1st October I had the great pleasure of being invited to a rehearsal by the group, DOCTOR CUNNNINGHAM, where I met and interviewed Elodie, Julien, Thomas and Arthur.
Doctor Cunningham is 4-piece rock band with a difference.
Based in Lyon, they convey a powerful, energetic and positive rapport with their audience, thanks to their charismatic lead singer, Elodie, and their unique brand of rock, complete with fuzzy guitars, driving bass and mesmerising drumming. The effect is one of total and irrepressible joy and ‘forget your silly day-to-day problems’… thank you, Doctor!!
In their own words they play ‘music from the desert with guts and humour, crafted in Lyon’
